This subject is very polemic and in the present moment represents a serious public health problem in the world.
The author says in the article a little bit of the SIDA history and that AIDS was knew in the past. Altman (2011) said about the knowledge and the people still having prejudice about AIDS.
Altman talks that AIDS is a sexually transmitted disease (STD’s) that deeply damage the immune system. He also said about HIV can transmit through heterosexual sex from infected women to their newborns, in blood transfusion and products, and by contaminated needles. And in the long article he tells the AIDS history.

There are some diseases that still require much research. I believe that the increase in infections among certain groups due to lack of health education in school.

Of course that lesbian pregnant with Aids don't pass blood for her baby... Oh God! Whatever... In Brazil, the government distributes condoms for free. Of course to avoid a SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASE should encourage safe SEX instead of discouraging unbridled sex.
